Mrs. Marissa Benson is Freddie Benson's mother. She and Freddie live across the hall from Carly and Spencer. Mrs. Benson's father was part of the Fencin' Bensons, a famous circus fencing group. She is a very overprotective mother, but has the best intentions at heart. Some people think she's insane because she has done things like install a GPS tracking chip in Freddie's skull so she always knows where he is. She also comes up with simple rhymes for everyday situations or things she doesn't like (for example, when noticing a sticky countertop, "Sticky and wet makes mommy upset").
